Parker Core Knowledge (PCK)

Position Reports To: Parker Core Knowledge Board of Directors

Mission: Parker Core Knowledge (PCK) stands as a beacon of educational excellence, anchoring itself as one of Douglas County’s oldest and most esteemed Preschool to 8th grade charter schools since its inauguration in 1994. Our journey has been marked by a commitment to fostering not just academic prowess but also nurturing character, earning us the esteemed National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award in 2016 and 2023, a testament to our position among the nation’s educational elite.

Beyond accolades, PCK is more than a school; it’s a haven for our children and their families. In our halls, a warm and caring atmosphere is present, where every teacher and specialist, from school counselors to psychologists and Special Education professionals, prioritizes the daily well-being of our students – socially, emotionally, and physically. Our dedicated staff create sanctuaries of safety and encouragement, enabling each student to not only meet but exceed rigorous academic goals.

At the heart of PCK lies a community, where family involvement is not just encouraged but cherished. Parents aren’t just supporters of academic pursuits; they actively engage in activities and committees that enrich their child’s educational journey, embodying the spirit of collaboration and shared commitment.

The rich Core Knowledge curriculum, delivered to just over 800 students, reflects our dedication to academic excellence. With a constant eye on Improvement, we strive to develop strong readers and writers, infuse hands-on science learning and instill a balanced approach to math education.

As we look to the future, the heartbeat of PCK lies in the passion of our educators, the commitment of our parents, and the boundless potential of each student. Together, we create not just a school but a nurturing home for learning and growth.
