Ed-Exec, Inc. is pleased to announce the successful placement of Angelique “Angie” Crump, CPA as Chief Financial Officer of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) in New York City. Crump will begin her new role on September 21, 2026.
The appointment follows a national executive search conducted by Ed-Exec on behalf of the Academy to identify an accomplished financial leader capable of supporting both the institution’s mission and its long-term strategic and operational priorities.
Angie brings more than 25 years of experience in financial strategy, operations, institutional leadership, risk management and organizational transformation. Her career has included leadership across complex, mission-driven organizations, with particular depth in higher education finance.
Most recently, Angie served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer (Chief Financial Officer) at St. Thomas Aquinas College, where she advised the President, Cabinet and Board of Trustees while leading financial strategy, long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting and institutional stewardship.
Prior to St. Thomas Aquinas, Angie spent 14 years at Vassar College, ultimately serving as Controller. At Vassar, she held senior financial responsibility within an institution with a $250 million operating budget, $1.9 billion in assets and a $1.3 billion endowment. Her responsibilities encompassed accounting operations, treasury, financial reporting, audits, endowment and gift accounting, capital planning and executive and board-level financial support.
Her experience also includes leading major financial and operational initiatives, strengthening internal controls and compliance, overseeing significant capital projects, modernizing treasury operations and helping lead the implementation of Workday.

Founded in 1884, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts has a distinguished history of preparing generations of actors for careers in theatre, film and television.
For an institution with such a unique mission and legacy, the CFO position required more than technical financial expertise.
